Patricia Chandler is a wonderful, kind and loving woman who, at 80 years old, learned she had a terminal diagnosis.
Having lived in Alaska since she was six years old, Patricia has a strong support network and a large, loving family. She loves to read, bake, and treat others. As an educator for 25 years, she is no stranger to her community or local resources. And yet, as is the case for many patients, Patricia simply was not fully informed about her health situation or the options available to her.
Patricia asked Ancora to document her experience in the hopes that she might inspire others to advocate for themselves, ask tough questions, and determine what is right for them. Please watch as Patricia shares how she was first introduced to hospice, what she assumed the program would be, and what she has come to learn. Her positivity is infectious, and her life advice is valuable to all.
We are thankful to Patricia for sharing her Ancora experience from a patient’s perspective; we are certain her faith and admirable outlook will be an encouragement to others!
