Losing a loved one is an incredibly difficult experience, even if you feel prepared. It’s important to know that it’s normal to feel grief before and after the passing of your loved one. We are here for you every step of the way, providing education, support, and a listening ear throughout hospice services.
Our support doesn’t end after the patient’s passing. We’re here for you for up to 13 months or as long as you need. If you’re seeking ongoing support, we’ve created a weekly Bereavement Support Group where you can connect with others who have experienced a similar loss. Because when it comes to healing from loss, we know that community is key.

Support Trough Grief and Loss
At Ancora, we understand that death is a natural part of life. While we don’t adhere to any specific religion, we recognize the importance of spiritual and religious care as a meaningful aspect of the end-of-life experience.
Spirituality can be expressed in many ways—not just through faith or religion. It can also be found in family bonds, gardening, music, art, or the beauty of nature. Ultimately, spirituality helps us make sense of our world and connect with ourselves, others, and the universe.
We offer grief and bereavement support services to patients and families, regardless of their faith, culture, or beliefs.
The Impact of Grief on Healthcare Professionals
Healthcare professionals can feel grief when caring for dying patients, especially if they’ve been involved in their care for a long time. It’s important to provide bereavement support for these workers, particularly those in hospice settings.
